Dear Parents,

I want to open this letter with sincere gratitude for your patience since we first announced that Pepperell Soccer would be suspending all soccer related activities. We also appreciate so many of you taking the time to thoughtfully respond to the recent survey we put out a few weeks ago.

We’ve been closely monitoring the situation and on Thursday 4/30 The Board of Directors for Pepperell Soccer held a special teleconference meeting and has reached the decision to not participate in a planned schedule of travel games or in-town games for the Spring of 2020.

This decision has resulted in 3 options as we go forward:
Default: If you do nothing by May 31st, a family credit will be applied to your Sports Manager Account
Option 2: Families can request a refund by May 31st by contacting me directly using “Refund” in the email subject. (president@pepperellsoccer.org) and provide the player’s name and age group (eg u6,u8, 3/4 , etc)
Option 3: Families may choose to contribute their registration fee as a charitable donation to PYSL. You can contact me by May 31st using “Donation” in the subject (president@pepperellsoccer.org)

For those families that have ordered uniforms, they will be available by the end of this week. Details and logistics on how to get them will be coordinated individually with those families.

The mission of Pepperell Soccer is and will continue to be, to provide a safe and healthy environment for all children in the town of Pepperell to participate. With that mission in mind we will continue to work on ideas and programs that could be offered to the kids interested if it is safe to do so. Any announced programs we could offer will need to be in compliance with safety regulations, so we will continue to monitor the situation and guidelines that are provided.

Our Fall 2019 raffle was conducted this afternoon after the conclusion of our in-town season. Congratulations to the following winners!

3rd Place – Mendel

1st Place – Gesualdi

We are super-excited to kick-off our Fall 2019 Season! Schedules will be available on August 30th.

Travel team (Grade 3/4 and above) coaches will be reaching out regarding practices soon. The first games of the season start on Saturday, September 7th.

In-Town U6/U8 teams have their first games on Sunday, September 8th. U8 practices will begin the week of September 2nd.

In-Town U4 starts on Friday, September 6th.

Our dedicated team of volunteers is working hard behind the scenes to ensure all of our players, coaches, and families have a safe and successful fall season. See you on the fields!

Coach Sean will be conducting clinics this fall on the following schedule this fall season:

Coaches Clinic: Tuesday, Sept 3 from 5:30pm-7pm on Glow Fields

U6/U8 Players Clinic: Wednesdays, 5pm-6pm, Sept 4 – Oct 2 on Leao Fields

U10 Players Clinic: Wednesdays, 6pm-7pm, Sept 4 – Oct 2 on Leao Fields

Registration is now open for our Fall 2019 in-town (ages 4-7) and travel (grades 3-8) programs. Registering early helps with placements and ensures you beat the late fee!

Placements for fall travel teams will take place at the following dates and times:

• Monday, June 10: Players entering grade 3 or 4 in the fall
  Girls 6pm-7pm, Boys 7pm-8pm
• Tuesday, June 11: Players entering grade 5 or 6 in the fall
  Girls 6pm-7pm, Boys 7pm-8pm
• Wednesday, June 12: Players entering grade 7 or 8 in the fall
  Girls 6pm-7pm, Boys 7pm-8pm

Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early to allow for check-in.

All players must bring a ball (size 4 for grades 3-6, size 5 for grades 7-8), cleats, shin guards, and plenty of water. For the safety of our players, they will not be able to participate without proper footwear and shin guards.

Picture Day is Sunday, May 19!

In-Town: Please check the schedule, as game times are different this week. Don’t be late, or you’ll miss your team photo!

Travel: You are welcome to join us to have your picture taken anytime between 11am-1pm on Glow Fields. You may have siblings or friends photographed together or simply get an individual photo taken. Throw on your uniform and bring your ball and a smile down to Glow! Coaches wishing to coordinate a team photo may do so, as well.
