All Mass Youth Soccer Session plans follow US Soccer Grassroots Play-Practice-Play Methodology. U.S. Soccer developed and implemented the Play-Practice-Play methodology at the Grassroots level. Researched and developed by technical leaders, this player-centered approach allows coaches of all levels to help create training environments to fulfill the two basic needs of players of all ages: to have fun and to develop!

Massachusetts Youth Soccer is proud to offer coaching education opportunities from our nationally recognized coaching education leaders: The US Soccer Coaching License pathway and United Soccer Coaches Coaching Diplomas. The pathway you choose is ultimately a personal preference, based on your level of experience, the age groups you are currently coaching, and the age groups you plan to coach in the future.
PYSL will reimburse the cost of Grassroots and D license courses to all active PYSL coaches upon successful completion of the course. Please email travel@pepperellsoccer.org if you are planning to take any of the courses.
