Updated Mask Guidelines

Effective Tuesday, May 18th, the following policies are now in place (updated May 19):

  • For youth aged 18 years and under, when engaged in soccer activities outdoors a mask is not required.
  • For participants aged 19 years and older, when engaged in soccer activities outdoors a face covering must be worn while actively playing.
  • Players are not required to wear a mask outdoors while on the sideline or in a huddle if proper social distance is maintained. If social distance cannot be maintained masks must be worn.
  • Coaches and Referees are not required to wear a mask if they are outdoors and can social distance. If at any time social distance can not be maintained, a mask must be worn. Referees age 18 and younger do not need to wear a face covering while on the field of play officiating a game.
  • Spectators must practice social distancing in the spectator viewing areas. Family units from the same household do not need to distance, but should remain 6’ from the next spectator group. Spectators are permitted to remove their mask outdoors where they can maintain 6’ of social distance.

Thank you to all involved in Pepperell Youth Soccer for following our COVID-19 safety protocols and keeping kids active and on the fields since June 2020!

Welcome to the Spring 2021 Season

As we get back onto the fields for our Spring 2021 soccer season, our primary focus remains the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff, and spectators. The pandemic has presented a unique set of challenges and we thank you for your continued support. As the guidelines from both the Commonwealth and Mass Youth Soccer continue to evolve, you will find the latest information on our COVID-19 Protocol page. Until Mass Youth Soccer outlines an updated policy, masks are still required to be worn by all players, coaches, referees, and spectators at all times.

We strive to create an environment of positive reinforcement and respect. Please review our Code of Conduct, which outlines the expected behaviors of all who attend our soccer activities. As a reminder, pets and smoking/vaping are not permitted on the fields or in the spectator areas.

Thank you again for your continued support – see you on the fields!

Spring 2021 Registration is Open!

Pepperell Families:
Our league, NVYSL, is having ongoing discussions, with signs of being open to a travel season. We will be finalizing our position on this at our February Board Meeting. Please stay tuned for further communication on this topic by mid-February.
In the meantime, registration is now open (all age groups) for the Spring 2021 soccer season. Regardless of our decision on travel we will have a season in some form.
To register please go to https://www.pepperellsoccer.org/register where you will find instructions and other important information.
Note that we are now using TeamSnap as our registration platform.

We look forward to getting the kids back out on the pitch this spring.

Return to Soccer Protocols – Key Reminders

As the Fall season winds down, we want to thank you for your commitment to ensuring our young athletes have been able to continue to participate in soccer.

We are incredibly grateful and proud of every coach, parent, referee and administrator who have not only adapted to game modifications, additional safety measures and an increased administrative load, but have committed to providing safe, inclusive, affordable and fun environment for our Pepperell Soccer families. THANK YOU!

Below is a quick video with reminders of protocols to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19:

Fall Soccer is Back – Registration is Open!

As many of you know the Board of Directors of Pepperell Soccer has been working to bring soccer back in a safe and healthy manner since early this summer.
After the summer clinics, the PYSL Board needed to decide about the fall season. Based on guidelines presented by Mass Youth Soccer, the PYSL Board voted unanimously to keep the entire Pepperell Soccer program within our borders and not participate in a Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL) schedule. This is not a decision that we took lightly but feel
that this is the best path forward as a responsible community partner.
The final details are still being worked out, but
the fall season for Grades 3-8 will have the following framework:
1.     All age groups (3/4, 5/6, 7/8) will be split into Coed Teams of similar size.
2.    Format will be small sided games (6v6 or 7v7) to ensure we can meet the capacity and spacing guidelines.
3.   Games will be played in Pepperell on Saturdays and teams will have one practice
during the week.
4.   All COVID-19 guidelines put forward by Mass Youth Soccer will be adhered to. The current guidelines may be found at mayouthsoccer.org/returntosocceractivitiespdf/
We are planning to play up to 8 games this fall with the first games tentatively scheduled for Saturday September 12th. In order for us to succeed in getting this season started, we need to understand how many participants we will have.
Our In-Town U6 and U8 seasons will also be taking place this fall, with first games scheduled for Sunday September 13th.
Registration is currently open and space for the Fall program may be limited. Please sign up at https://www.pepperellsoccer.org/register/ at your earliest convenience.
We intend to hold player evaluations and placements after the fall season in hopes of participating in an NVYSL travel season in the spring of 2021
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us, we are also planning to hold an information session once we finalize more of the details.

Summer Program 2020

Registration for the summer clinics is now open.  As a reminder – this program is only available for players that will be in our grade 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 age groups headed into the fall 2020 school year.
Capacity for these clinics is limited by regulations and will not allow for spectators at any age group.  Success of this program will require a partnership between families, players, coaches, and the Pepperell Soccer board, so please review the details provided in the link below.
